Children Under 8 Should not Use Cell Phones

A study sponsored and performed by the British government says that children under the age of 8 should not use a cell phone; doing so can possibly cause brain or ear tumors and damage to their DNA.

The study recommended that cell phone towers not be built near schools. Those who did the study say there is no hard evidence that cell phone use pose a health risk to the general public however.

There have been various studies over the past year that show that cell phones can cause health problems and others that don’t. The FDA says there is no conclusive evidence that cell phones pose health risk and no conclusive evidence that they don’t.

A British cell phone company that targets children 4 to 8 has halted the sales of their phones until they are able to review the study.
