Who said E3 was all about video games? While at E3 we had the pleasure of stopping by a few booths that were not necessarily gaming related. The two most notable were Cellboost and Disc-go-Tech.

We will start with Cellboost. Cellboost offers battery backups for cell phones, portable game systems and iPods. We were able to see their product in action.

The cellboost battery backups will allow you to charge your cell phone, portable gaming system and iPod without the need of an electrical outlet. The backups are small in size and fit easily into a pocket or bag. When you use a backup, it will take about an hour for your device to fully charge. After you charge your device you simply dispose of it.

Cellboost has different models for almost every phone. There are also models for the Sony PSP, Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance and for all iPod models. However Sidekick users are out of luck there isn’t a model for you.

The Cellboost battery chargers will cost you anywhere from $5 – $15USD depending on the model you need.

Now, have you ever bought a DVD, video game or music CD and one day for some reason or another it gets scratched and the disc can’t be read anymore? Well that’s when Disc-go-Tech comes to the rescue.

Disc-go-Tech has two products which we think will be of interest to you all. They are called the Pod and the Pod Plus. The two devices will repair disc scratches in less then 5 minutes and serious disc scratches in 10 to 15 minutes. The Pod and the Pod Plus, in a way, grind down the CD until the scratch is buffed out.

The Pod and Pod Plus are basically the same system. The only difference is that the Pod will allow users to control the flow of solution and pressure applied to the disc and the Pod Plus comes already set up for you.. If you have a large DVD or CD collection the Pod or the Pod Plus are a must have.

The Pod and the Pod Plus sell for $395 and $495USD.

We are trying to get a review sample of the cellboost and pod devices so we can do a more intensive review on them so check back soon for those reviews.
