I am in the need of a new TV, and have been looking for a new TV since about early September. But times are tough and I have put the TV on the back burner, as it’s a want and not really a need. However if a deal comes by that is too good to pass up I will buy a new TV.

So today I thought that too good to pass up deal had come by, Sharp sent me an email telling me they were having a Customer Appreciation Sale that started today and ended the 23rd of January 2009. I was excited checked out the TV’s saw the prices and well the price was still too high for me. But since I thought it was a great deal I forwarded it on to a friend of mine.

He promptly replies great sale, too bad it’s cheaper at Amazon. So I went to Amazon.com then BestBuy.com and a few other retailers and he was right they were cheaper. What the Fuck Sharp?

I will admit though, some of the TV’s were cheaper by 20 - 30 dollars. But on the Bigger screen televisions such as their 42 inch LCD (LC42D85U) it was either the same price or cheaper else where, and the same with their 37 inch LCD (LC37SB24U). One would think they would make sure it was cheaper than any of their retailers.

I thought Sharp was appreciating me for being a long time customer, I’ve purchased several Sharp branded products last year alone and own Sharp Televisions. Needless to say I am a Sharp fan or at least I was until I got this bogus offer.

So let this serve as a warning to everyone, if you get a similar offer from Sharp or any other company, Shop around chances are it will be cheaper else where.
