Today Sprint introduced the new Motorola i890, a slip phone designed for their Nextel network.

The phone is loaded with all the features you’d expect such as bluetooh, camera and MP3 functionality. Although support for just an 8 GB microSD card is sort of disappointing. For more information on the phone check out the post on our sister site CellRants.com.

Telenav releases National GPS Usage Data

I bet you didn’t know that there are probably more people in Maryland using GPS then in the state you are in, or that Wal-Mart is the most searched for destination while people are on the road with Starbucks coming in at number two.

The data also shows that Pizza was the number one food searched, residents in Chicago leading the way in that category, but those of us i New York City preferred Chinese food which was the second most searched food. As if we need a GPS to find a Chinese restaurant. There is one on every corner out here.

Telenav gathered he data during December 2009, so that could explain why Wal-Mart is number one on the most searched for destination, it would be interesting to see where it ranks when averaging a years worth of data.

Just before my trip to the Mobile World Congress, FedEx dropped off the Toshiba Satellite A505. A gorgeous looking notebook with a 16” HD TrueBrite display, Nvidia GeForce GPU, Harman/Kradon Speakers with Dolby and an Intel core i7 processor to power it up.

The system is beautiful in itself; it has a nice looking paint job with silver trim and when you open her up and see the huge 16 inch wide-screen monitor it will make you drool. It’s probably one of the most beautiful notebooks I have seen in a while.

I took the A505 with me to Barcelona Spain for the Mobile World Congress, as I planned to take loads of pictures, some videos and just browse the web while I was there and needed something that could handle the workload I expected to have. So I figured what better way to review a notebook than to put it to some hard core use at a convention in another country.

HP announces new Ultra-Thin, Tablet and Notebooks for Small Business

Today HP announced that they have expanded their portfolio of business notebooks. They have announced two new EliteBooks the 2750p (tablet PC) and the 2540p and four new Probooks the 4320s, 4420s, 4520s and the 4720s.

My favorite of the six new notebooks is the 2750p which is the ultra-thin, multitouch convertible tablet pc, that can deliver up to 11 hours of battery life with an extended battery. Whats so cool about the 2740p is that the extended battery and an optional dock attack to the system in layers similar to if you were stacking lego blocks on top of each other. The system by itself with the default battery weighs 3.8 pounds but even when you add the extended battery along with the dock it still weighs under 6 pounds.

I am a huge couch potato; if I could I would watch tv nonstop. But like you I have a job and a life that requires I go places. Besides being a couch potato you can say I’m somewhat of a cheap ass.

A cheap ass because I do not like paying 10 dollars a month to my cable company, and I don’t really feel like paying 250 dollars for a TiVo box and paying them 13 dollars a month.

But I do want to record my favorite TV shows, and well paying $200 dollars for the Hauppauge HD PVR was a good solution for me.

This past week I was able to attend the mobile world congress, I visited with companies like HP who showed me their new android netbook, and synaptics that showed off their new touch technology, and logmein who showed us some really interesting software for service providers and end users alike.

But for me the biggest announcement at MWC 2010 was Windows Phone 7. It was amazing to see how much Microsoft has changed, how streamlined the new mobile OS from Microsoft seems.

USB 3.0 and External Hard drives seem to be the hot new thing and for good reason, as these drives are lighting fast.

A few weeks ago Seagate sent me their BlackArmor PS110 and having been briefed on it during CES I was excited. The ability to transfer data so quickly had me giddy.

Whats unique about the Seagate PS110 is unlike the other USB 3.0 external HDD available, this one is portable and it also includes a PCI express Card for your notebook. So you literally can turn your old notebook with a expansion slot into a super fast data transferring machine!

BlueAnt is known for their great Bluetooth headsets. I have owned several and I have yet to be disappointed. They are comfortable, deliver crystal clear sound and I never have to raise my voice in order for the person I am speaking to can hear me.

The Q1 is no exception. I have been using it for about a month now and I haven’t been happier.

It was one of the easiest phones to pair, as the headset tells you what you need to do. It was so easy I had my mom do it and the hardest part for her was finding where to enable the Bluetooth settings on her phone.

The Sportsband is a really elegant looking headset, and while it’s designed for the athlete in all of us, I primarily used it around my home and when commuting. It comfortably fit and kept my ears somewhat warm in this cold winter we have been having here in New York City.

Microsoft Hardware today announced the new SideWinder x4 Keyboard, which is designed to give gamers like you and me greater control over our gaming experience.

The SideWinder x4 keyboard is the first keyboard to use anti-ghosting technology, a technology developed by Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group. The new Anti-Ghosting technology allows you to perform the most complex keyboard combinations. Basically it’s anti lag technology for your keyboard, giving you the ability to press up to 26 keys at once and the game you are playing will detect all 26 key clicks.

“We’re always looking for new and novel ways to enhance people’s interactions with their PCs,” said Steven Bathiche, research manager of the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft. “We know that ghosting can be a problem for gamers, so we wanted to develop a way to eliminate this issue and improve the overall gaming experience, and we’ve succeeded with the new anti-ghosting technology in the SideWinder X4 Keyboard.”

For close to a year and maybe more HP has had a little darling in the Asian market hidden away from us in the US, that little darling is the HPMS200 All in One PC. A power all in one pc that takes up so little space you can put it anywhere.

HP loaned me their MS225 which is powered by an AMD Athlon ll X2 250u 1.6 GHz, has 4GB of memory, a 320 GB HDD, 18.5 inch screen with an ATI Radeon 3200 HD running Windows 7 64bit Premium.

The Size of the MS200 is great for anyone in a small apartment, but perfect for the student in a dorm room, schools, and any place with limited space.
