Back on January 1st 2009 we started charging a licensing fee to use our awards and images. We started to do this because the legal departments of some of the companies interested in our awards and images wanted their marketing and or public relations deparments to pay a licensing fee in fear that we would sue them if they did not. However after charging some companies a fee to license our awards and other logos, we ended the practice because we didn’t feel comfortable nor liked doing it. It was also a pain in the butt to keep track of.

So any company that wins an award of ours for any of their products can use it with our permission, and if you want we will sign a form giving you said permission. If you want to use any of our logos feel free to do so. But please read the below notice first.

Effective 11/13/2009 there will be no charges associated with the use of any HardwareGeeks.com quote, or award used for any purpose. We however do ask that you contact us at marketing@hardwaregeeks.com informing us where you plan to use any of our material and how and we reserve the right to refuse.

Also attach any form you may want us to sign giving permission to use our material.

If you need a high res of any our awards and we do not have one we can put you in contact with our 3rd party graphic designer who can then quote you a price to create the graphic.

If your company however still prefers to pay a licensing fee, we ask that you make a donation in our name to one of the following charities: Red Cross, Breast Cancer Association and Children.org, for no less than $100 USD.
