Disney and HP have teamed up to bring a connected home to visitors of Disneyland in Anaheim California. Starting tomorrow June 17th a limited number of guest to the theme park can visit the home in Tomorrow land, and at the end of June Disneyland will open the home to all guest.
The home which is occupied by a fictional family named the Elias will allow visitors to have a hands on experience with new technologies currently available and technology that will be available in the future.
The home features a kitchen where the appliances talk to each other, the Dinning room has a table with computers built into it, similar to HP Misto or Microsoft Surface. A living room that transforms into a mini theater with the touch of a button, and bedrooms that are designed to offer connectivity specifically for the person that occupies the room. For example the daughters room has digital posters that can easily be changed.
Even the backyard is a connected, with LCD screens that display cooking instructions if you are having a BBQ.
I personally can’t wait to head to Disneyland to check out this home. To bad I am going to Disney World in September and not Disneyland.
I am trying to get pictures of the home and will post them as soon as I have them.
