When people think of a good graphics card, they think of spending 2 to 3 hundred dollars on the card, especially if they want top notch graphics and good video quality when they watch a movie on their system, especially a High Def movie.
But AMD wants to change that mentality, they don’t want people thinking they have to spend 2 to 3 hundred dollars on a good card when they can spend just 60 bucks and get great graphics.
While it’s true you will need a top of the line card or as some say the Boss card from ATI or NVIDIA to play the latest and greatest games at the highest settings, a 60 dollar card like the ATI Radeon 4650 HD can deliver a good quality gaming and entertainment experience for more than half the price.
I have had a 4650 HD for a little over a month now, didn’t get a review out sooner because I had some computer issues, but with the 4650 I can play games like Crysis and Dead or Alive at medium settings or a mixture of medium and high settings flawlessly with no lag or skipping, and a game like Command and Conquer Red Alert will be handled with ease even at the highest of settings.
I can even watch Blu-Ray movies and other HD content without any lag that you may experience on other cheap GPU especially integrated GPUs.
The card can also support up to two monitors so if you want the two monitor experience you can experience it with this card, and it generates little heat so your system will remain cool.
This card is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their integrated graphics but don’t want to spend a bundle, or someone who wants dual monitors and for a person that likes to game but isn’t a hard core gamer.
I recommend the ATI Radeon 4650 HD to everyone and in these trying economic times you can’t go wrong with this card. The card is available from Newegg and other e-tailers now.
We award the ATI Radeon 4650 HD our 5 Star Must Have Award!

In terms of its physical size, its dimensions, will it fit a mini-PC? Like the Acer Aspire x3200 that I have?
I’ve got the 16x PCI-E 2.0 slot, so thats fine, but I was just thinking of its physical size.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Dan - You can get low-profile/half-height Radeon 4650 cards by Sapphire or Asus at NewEgg. I just bought the Sapphire card for my Dell OptiPlex GX620 and it fits/works great! Just make sure you get the low-profile version.
