As some of you know, here at HardwareGeeks.com we like to help out those in need, especially children in need and over the past 2 years we have picked up letters at the 34th Street Post Office in NYC during Christmas time and members on our forum have donated to get a gift for the kids who wrote to Santa.

Recently where I live I have started to notice a line at the local Library, there are about 8 to 10 computers and when school lets out the line to use this computer is enormous, because of all these kids trying to use them to get homework done etc.So I really wanted to do something about it and so I contacted HP. I knew that they often stocked up on what we call review units, basically units that HP loans to websites such as HardwareGeeks.com and other news agencies.

I had asked if I could buy two of their loaner units (Hopefully at a huge discount) and I could give them out to two different kids in my neighborhood who did not have a computer and whose parents for some reason or another can not afford one for them.

HP agreed with one condition, they wanted to give the notebooks to me at no cost. So HP donated a DV1000 series and DV2000 series notebook to us so that we can give them out to two kids in need.

So Thank you HP!

make them trade the PC’s for cookies.

Mmm… cookies.

So how we gonna decide which brats to give the PC’s to?

I know, I know… whoever has the best cookies!
