If you have never been able to make the Cheer leading Squad, now you have the chance to experience being a cheerleader with a new game from THQ.
All Star Cheer Squad, is the first ever cheer leading game, and it will debut on the Wii and Nintendo DS this fall. This will also be the first game from THQ created specifically for girls, however I see a lot of guys secretly playing this. (Looks directly at Kevin Boers)
“With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems,” said Jim Huntley, director of global brand management, THQ. “We’re thrilled to introduce All Star Cheer Squad to the industry as a triple-a title that will get players involved in the action of what it takes to be an all star as well as make up their own unique cheer routines.”

Heh, it may be the first “cheer leading game” per se but I think Sega and Bemani had this kind of gameplay covered a while ago. Samba de Amigo is safely gender-neutral, and Para Para Paradise...well...if you search the internet it’s obvious the guys aren’t exactly playing it in secret
Now, if they made an interactive Wii Remote/other peripheral version of Ouendan (Elite Beat Agents)…

I agree that the gaming has become a trend and it has great grace among girls these days.
