Back in the late 30’s and 40’s two men, Bill Hewllet and David Packard started a company, and after flipping a coin they named that company Hewllet Packard. (HP)

They started HP in a garage in the back of a house located on 367/369 Addison Ave. in Palo Alto California and for 18 months they built Audio-Ausilators, parts for air conditioners and other products. In 1985 The Garage in the back of 367/369 Addison Ave. was designated a landmark by the City of Palo Alto.

Known as the Birthplace of Silicon Valley and considered an icon in the tech industry, most people are unable to enter the garage and are forced to take pictures of it from behind a closed fense about 100 feet away.

Well, we aren’t most people and HP granted us access to the garage and a shed where Bill Hewllett lived before he was married. David Packard lived in the house on the first floor with his wife, their landlord lived on the 2nd floor.

So since we were able to enter the garage and take pictures we thought we would share those pictures with you, hope you enjoyed them.
