Cheaters beat the street date and flood YouTube and other video sites with footage.

Well it looks like some people have been throwing the ol’ April 29th street date for Grand Theft Auto IV out the window and are getting their hands on it a little early. Granted the videos are of less than stellar quality, but they appear to be the real deal, even going so far as to show snippets of the opening cinematic. Other footage shows the new gun mechanics featuring an over the shoulder view ala Resident Evil 4 as well as the new use of cover, which shows Niko hiding along the side of a wall while taking out cops that are chasing him down. Take 2 has already been running rampant on YouTube and ripping down everything that’s been posted. Fear not, if you’re really hard up to see the footage, Gametrailers.com still has some videos, as well as dailymotion.com. Get there fast though before Take 2 gets a hold of those sites as well. Unfortunately, watching these videos only makes the prolonged waiting until the 29th that much harder for me. I’ll just have to pickup my pre-order on the release date like the rest of the world.
