My contract with Sprint recently expired and I planned to renew with them, but then I saw a commercial for the Blackberry Storm and knew I wanted one. I had gone to my local Verizon Wireless Store but they were out of stock, so I had to order mines online and wait nearly 2 weeks for it to get here, and five days ago it arrived.

Since I have only had the Touch Blackberry Storm a week I can’t really say a lot about it, but it has a lot of features and I am madly in love with it even though it is heavier and a little bulkier that I had expected and am use too.

One morning I was in a rush to leave for work, when I noticed that one of my kids left my laptop on all night, but since I was in a rush I didn’t bother to shut it down.

When I got home later that evening the laptop was still on but I really think anything of it. I shut down the laptop and went to bed. The next day the same thing, but this time when I got home from work I went to log on to check my email and pay my bills. When I logged on my AVG Virus Protection told me I had a virus called “Trojan Horse Virus”. I suspect my brother in-law might of visited a questionable website or two while I was at work.

**DISCLAIMER** HardwareGeeks is not suggesting giving your password out, this is merely an opinion of Cindy. Remember always keep your personal information private such as passwords and identifying numbers **DISCLAIMER**

Last year I remember hearing about a study that claimed 65% of all people men and women would give up their password in exchange for a chocolate bar, and I can tell you I would give up my password for a chocolate bar provided you have no idea what my username is.

A newer study that I heard about today while driving into work, says that 21% of all the people questioned would give up their password for no good reason, and 45% of women would give up their password for a prize while only 10% of men would.

Now on the radio show they made fun of us women, they said we were dumb for giving up our passwords, that our passwords can lead to identity theft etc. etc. etc…

Social Networking Websites are so much trouble now a days, especially if you have kids. Being a parent of two kids and the aunt to a few nieces and nephews I know how important it is to have an eye on what they are doing.

My teenage neices and nephews have MySpace pages which is ok, but recently I have started to notice is; a lot of men and women ages 20 – 45 want to be their friends for some reason. Maybe because they are pedophiles.

Because of these bad apples on sites such as Facebook and MySpace, a lot of people including myself block these social networking websites on their home network, and with free services such as OpenDNS making it so easy to do even the most novice of computer users are doing it themselves.

Over the weekend, I learned that Virginia would require Internet Safety Lessons be taught in schools. The lessons will teach kids how to detect various scams, avoid predators and be more aware of what they should and shouldn’t do online.

Virginia is the first state to make such lessons mandatory, Texas and Illinois according to Fox News also have similar laws but do not mandate the lessons.

As a parent I love this idea, because I have falling victim to a scam or two and if my kids are aware of the bad apples (dear god apple doesn’t sue me) on the web maybe I could relax a bit more when they are on the computer.

I was in the need for an internet connection, and Michael told me about Verizon FIOS, I wanted something reliable and fast and he swore up and down that it was the best internet service available.

So on his recommendation I ordered Verizon FIOS two weeks ago, and they finally came to install it today! YAY

Even though I ordered my service two weeks ago, Verizon scheduled my appointment for today between the hours of 8AM and 12PM. according to the customer service rep I talked to the service is in high demand and they could not get anyone here any sooner.

Today Yahoo has launched a new website geared to us, the ladies! The new site, will feature beauty, fashion, health tips, gossip and more.

Today Real Dice Inc, has launched a new website called MyTopia.

MyTopia is a new gaming community that is free, you can play games like poker (one of my favorites) hearts and chest with friends, relatives or strangers around the world in real time.

Do you want to play with a friend on one of the major social networks like Bebo, Facebook or MySpace? Well you can at MyTopia.

I like technology, although I am not a very tech savvy person. I can manage the devices I have such as my iPod and Smartphone but there are times when I need help.

So from time to time I find myself dialing tech support numbers, and I have noticed that as Technology has advanced customer service has gone down hill. Every company you call, you get an automated system, press 1 press 2 press 69, it’s like real people don’t work there.

Well, a lot of you have asked for pictures of me and so I thought I would post some.

These pictures are from last year, The first picture is the most recent one. The last picture my sisters have told me I look like a Mushroom Head from the Super Mario Brothers Game.
