When I want to listen to music stored on my iPod while I am at home, I pretty much just stick the ear buds in my ear and read a book or clean the place up. That’s fine but you may not hear the phone ringing or someone knocking at the door if you have ear buds in your ear.

That’s why all these speaker docks for the iPod are so great but they tend to limit you to one room. However the eos Wireless Speaker system allows you to dock the iPod, iPhone in one room and spread up to five speakers around your home.

eos wirelessThe system is pretty stylish and if you have a modern look in your home it will match your furniture perfectly, and since it’s wireless there are no wires running all over the place. While wireless may sound cool, wireless speaker systems tend to have problems, phones, television, and even lighting in your home can interfere with the wireless signal, it also can be a pain in the ass to set up if you do encounter any interference.

However the eos Wireless iPod Speaker system is probably the easiest wireless speaker system to set uap. There is really nothing to do except plug in the speakers into a wall outlet to power them up, they detect the base station and sync with it automatically and it does it in less than 5 seconds. I kid you not!

I was so impressed by how fast they all synced up to the base station, that I kept turning the speakers on and off just to see the antenna light up blue to indicate it was connected, and once connected they stayed connected. I have cell phones and cordless phones, and not once did they interfere with the speakers.

The sound quality that come from the speakers is also amazing, from the base station to the speaker that is the furthest away the sound is crystal clear.

Overall the eos Wireless Speaker system for the iPod is a must have product and if you enjoy to listen to your music all over your home with out having to blast the sound from one room to all ther others, the eos Wireless Speaker system is for you.

Not to mention, some doctors have said that ear buds can cause people to go deaf.  I don’t like using them, that’s why I go with bookshelf speakers.

I’ve been waiting forEVER for someone to come out with a two way remote for the iPod. Now finally, Keyspan has, with their TuneView remote and dock system.

I could never figure out why companies would develop these docking/speaker systems and then either include no remote, or include one with no LCD display. I always thought, “How the heck are you supposed to navigate and see a little 2.5” screen from across the room? Stupid.”

I know that some will hook up to TV’s and you can navigate using the TV screen, but that’s not always what consumers want to do and there’s not always a TV available to do that.

Although I like how this EOS system looks, instead of going that route, I think it would be a better setup to buy the TuneView system and then some separate speakers.

I like speaker docks for the iPods like this EOS, but I’m waiting for someone to come out with one that offers a two way remote. Until that happens, my sights will remain on the TuneView solution.

I don’t work for Keyspan, but I just thought I’d share with those looking for a solution like the TuneView; not to mention, I’m growing tired of seeing companies like EOS come out with solutions that aren’t completely thought through, and I want to start sharing my opinions with them more. What better way to do that, than here?
