Apple sent out invitations today for a special event that will be held on March 6th, 2008 at their campus in Cupertino, CA.  The invite-only event will reveal details about the anticipated iPhone SDK.  Not many other details were given out the event, but it’s safe to assume the previously delayed SDK will be released on this date.  The SDK will allow for third-party developers to create native applications for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch.  Currently, third-party developers can only release web-based applications for these devices.
