Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has told Silicon.com that he is disappointed that the iPhone isn’t a 3G phone.
“To tell you the truth, I was disappointed ... half the phones in the AT&T store were 3G already.” He said.
Wonzinak is a self-confessed mobile broadband addict (like me) says he uses the iPhone, but suffers from slow speeds from time to time.
Wonizinak also doesn’t agree with Steve Jobs on, 3G using too much battery life.

Whats the difference between Edge and 3G?

Edge is slower than 3G

I’d like to see some comparison charts regarding EDGE vs. 3G.

Why do you need a comparison? 3G is up to 3 times faster than Edge.
Asking for one is like asking for a DSL vs Cable comparison.

I’m not so sure about that Mikey. I have read conflicting reports. Also, I think I speak for a lot of ‘peeps when I say that I’d rather have mobile Safari on EDGE as opposed to mobile IE on 3G. What mobile Safari would be like on 3G? We’ll see soon enough.

That is only because Safari on the iPhone is a full blown browser.
Would you rather have Safari on Edge opposed to Safari on 3G? I think not.
Whats sad is, its hard to find a real comparison of 3G and Edge on youtube because it seems like all of the comparisons that have an iPhone in them, use a phone that isn’t as powerful as the iPhone. So it makes it seem as edge is faster when it isn’t.
I even seen some comparisons where a slower treo has beat the iPhone, in loading apple.com but then they refresh the page with out clearing cache and the iPhone wins. That just shows that the treo is on a faster connection but the iPhone has a faster CPU.

Eh.....I was never one to jump on the 3G bandwagon. I’ve used Safari on EDGE since day one and while it’s no speed demon, it gets the job done. I also find that quite a bit of the time Wi-Fi is available which makes all of this discussion a rather moot point.
BTW.... the iPhone will have Safari in the not-so-distant future so we’ll see how it pans out.
