I am a huge fan of Windows Home Server, so big of a fan that I begged Microsoft to give me a copy of the Software so that I could build my own. When Microsoft first announced the Server software I knew it would be a big hit even though people like Jim Allchin did not, yes a Microsoft exec at the time did not think Windows HomeServer was a good idea.
Like I said I begged Microsoft for a copy of the software and when they finally sent me one, I built my own home server and used it for nearly several months before I murdered it. I left a window open on a rainy day and let’s just say moisture and computer hardware does not go together well.
But whats funny is, the day after my custom built home server died, I get an email from Brian Kemp asking if I’d like to review one, talk about good timing. So while you guys wait for my review in the coming two to three weeks, I thought I would share some unboxing photos.
The box it camed in, I must remind my self I don’t always need to use the flash when taking pictures.

It is a computer. Well can be used as a computer. But it is more of a personal server.
