So today I received from HP the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv6885se. It’s a special edition copper (looks kinda red) colored notebook PC, and honestly it’s probably the prettiest one I ever had the pleasure of playing with.
Normally I like to post pictures when I have my review ready, but this thing is so beautiful I couldn’t wait, so here are some pictures enjoy!
This is the color and design of the outer shell of the notebook
The keyboard and touch pad including the inner casing has a metalic finish.
Oh and let’s not forget the cute matching mouse.

I bought the dv6885se a week ago. It takes awhile to get used to. But then you start to love it. The CPU is decent...even though I wouldn’t mind a bigger cache since this thing is one of the fastest processors out there for laptops. You can even upgrade the CPU too for like 100 bucks. The nVidia card is decent...although it could be a lot faster since we’re runnin 2.1 and 3 gigs of RAM. Battery life is good. Little bastard will run for like 8 hours straight with the the screen dimmed or like 4~5 hours with the screen light on all the way.
Only thing I didn’t like is that its hard as hell to downgrade to Windows XP...since Vista makes all my programs go nuts. HP locks the BIOS so you can’t do things you could do with other non-name brand computers. But after a few days it was done. So I’d suggest the owners to do the same. It’s a hell of a lot faster and smoother than Vista.
I also didnt like how the label on my laptop says HP Pavilion dv6000 instead of dv6885se.
All in all...for $1000 bucks...it’ll beat any laptop out there in respect to CPU speed. You can get the T5500 for like 200-300 bucks cheaper...but the ddv6885se is solid and shouldnt need the “extended warranty”.

Please, please, How do you downgrade an HP Clay edition to XP Professional? Where can one find the drivers? I would be forever grateful for those who kindly help…
