Beware TV/Monitor makers – Samsung has one of the hottest products out right now – and it can be used for both.  At Samsung’s Holiday event today, I was introduced to something that I would definitely purchase for my own home office (if I had a bigger place that is – thanks NYC for being so damn expensive!).

“Samsung raises the bar with HDTV monitors in “Touch of Color” family of monitors” – the press release’s title says it all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Yu, the Product Manager of Display Product Marketing and he showed me the ins and the outs of the T260HD.  He explained to me its target market – college students and those that value space and I thought ‘CA-CHING!!!’

Today I had the chance to play with the newly introduced TL34HD, a powerful compact digital camera with high-definition video capability and a built in 3 in hVGA LCD touch screen that allows you to flip through pictures, crop the pictures and even rotate them. The touch screen uses Samsung’s Smart Touch 2.0 user interface.

The camera was a prototype so it did not have all the features working, but what did work was pretty impressive. One of the coolest features for me on the camera was the lens it used. Typically with point and shoot digital camera you are limited to 35 mm. The TL34HD however has a 28 mm wide angle lens which will allow you to take shots with an increased viewing area.

The Samsung Pebble (YP-S2 ZB) is a digital audio player that looks like a little pebble hence the name. It comes with a Gig of Storage and when you factor in system files it’s actually a little bit less than a gig. The Pebble is available in six colors (red, purple, black, white, silver and green) and will run you about 50 bucks.

I got my hands on one today while attending a Samsung Holiday event here in NYC and I figured I would put together a quick review and throw up some unboxing photos.
