Today I got my hands on the Blueant V1 Bluetooth headse, which is I believe th first ever voice controlled headset available. I took some unboxing pictures and decided to share them with you.
It’s similar in design to other Blueant headsets we reviewed in the past like the Z9, the only difference is this one is silver. Before we get on with the pictures I wanted to mention that by far this was the easiest Headset to set up ever, a combination of the voice command prompts from the headset and the iPaq 910 allowed me to pair the phone in less than a minute.
Epson on Wednesday will officially announce their new high end Artisan line. The new line will launch with two new all-in-one printers, the Artisan 700 and my favorite the Artisan 800.
The Artisan 800 if the mother-load of all printers, it is wi-fi capable, has a 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen that only lights up the buttons you need to use at that moment, the screen will also allow you to control the printers functions, edit images (brighten, darken, rorate and even crop).
Dish Network today announced that it is the first company in the Pay-TV industry to offer all of its standard and High-Def channels in MPEG 4, but only on the east coast.
New customers in 21 designated markets in the eastern half of the U.S. who sign up for any DISH Network HD package will be the first in the nation to receive the industry’s most advanced delivery system on all televisions connected to DISH Network service. This includes all SD and HD programming broadcast in MPEG-4 via DISH Network’s award-winning MPEG-4 HD and HD DVR receivers – even further enhancing DISH Network’s already superior picture.
I am new to photography, but on my first two photo shoots I lugged around my tx2000 notebook PC to check the pictures I had just taken. I could’ve looked on the LCD screen on the back of the camera, but sometimes what you see on that screen isn’t what you always get.
The problem with taking my laptop is that I like to pack light and although the Nikon D60 is a small DSLR, the added 4 pounds the laptop adds to my bag are 4 pounds I wouldn’t mind shedding.
So when Epson asked if I wanted to take a look at their P-7000 I said yes, I even begged for them to send it on a Saturday as I would be leaving Sunday for Disneyland on business. Yes it was a business trip but I did get on a lot of rides before and after my business meeting with HP.
About a month ago, I visited with Epson and checked out some of their new printers such as the nx400 all-in-one. I have to say I was pretty impressed with what I saw and for the first time ever I actually am looking forward to the release of a printer. But something else impressed me while I visited with Epson, and that was their ink.
Epson told me about their DuraBrite Ultra ink. They told me about how it instantly drys, how it doesn’t smear with a highlighter or deposit any of it’s ink on the tip of the highlighter. They also told me something I found hard to believe. They told me that the ink would not bleed if a liquid were spilled on a document printed with their ink.
I saw various examples but I was skeptical. I wanted to perform these test especially the liquid one my self, so Epson was kind enough to send me a nx400 to test the ink with.
I recently faced a dilemma, I had a NVIDIA 8800 GTX Video Card sitting around collecting dust, and a quad core computer that could not handle it because the power supply was not powerful enough, so of course I knew it was time to get a bigger, better, badder PSU—I just couldn’t decide on which one to get.
Antec sent me one of their new Signature Series Power Supplies and I knew exactly what I could use it for, yea, you guessed it. I used it to finally put that bad boy of a Video Card into my System. The Signature Series from Antec is part of their new Super Premium Line, which meets 80 plus standards meaning the PSU is power efficient.
Are you a photographer? Professional or not you may all do something in common, you carry your laptop with you to give your self a better view of the image you just took, sure you can circle through them on the LCD of your DSLR but it isn’t as crisp or as big as it can be on a computer screen.
Well Epson want’s to eliminate the need for photographers to carry around their notebooks, so they have introduced the P6000 and P7000 photo viewers, which will allow you to swap your memory card from your camera to your Photo Viewer and view the photos on the photo viewer,
We all know how important it is to keep our systems cool, a cooler system equals a happier system. But when you’re a hardcore gamer or just have a super PC as I call them that generates a lot of heat, you may jam pack the system with fans and not really know if they are doing their job or if you even need a fan in a specific area of your PC.
With the Sentry LX Fan Controller not only can you manually and automatically control the speed of up to five fans but you are informed of the temperature in the area near the fans
Antec has posted 10 tips on how to keep your PC cool in the summer, and I thought I would share these tips with you all since I recently had a bad experience with my PC overheating in these summer months.
Just a note to all of you, don’t try liquid cooling if you are in a humid city like I am. Pipes sweat.
Back in 2002 (I may be off by a year) there was a buzz going around about how this great new product was going to revolutionize the world. In a very apple like way the company who developed this new product kept it a secret and rumors ran wild, then it turned out to be a scooter ok ok not just any scooter a Segway and well they didn’t take off as expected. With the exception of some police departments, the postal service and I belive Disney there really aren’t many Segway buyers out there.
Now Toyota wants in on the personal transport market, and today showed off their “Toyota Partner Robot” or “Winglet” my Japanese to English translator isn’t that great so I am unsure of the exact name but it’s one of those two.
