I guess with declining movie rentals and an online rental service that has mainly been a bust, Blockbuster wants to remain in business by buying Circuit City the struggling electronics retail Giant.

Blockbuster has said they are offering 6 to 8 dollars per share, that is nearly 55% higher than the $3.90 the Circuit City Stock price was last week, and to think a year ago it was in the 20 dollar range.

The CEO for Blockbuster told C|net that a merger would create a new blockbuster and this new blockbuster would be the most convenient source for media entertainment.

Social Networking Websites are so much trouble now a days, especially if you have kids. Being a parent of two kids and the aunt to a few nieces and nephews I know how important it is to have an eye on what they are doing.

My teenage neices and nephews have MySpace pages which is ok, but recently I have started to notice is; a lot of men and women ages 20 – 45 want to be their friends for some reason. Maybe because they are pedophiles.

Because of these bad apples on sites such as Facebook and MySpace, a lot of people including myself block these social networking websites on their home network, and with free services such as OpenDNS making it so easy to do even the most novice of computer users are doing it themselves.

Last week AMD announced it would be cutting 1,650 jobs approximately 10% of their workforce.

Well it would seem that the cutting of jobs has begun and the first cut was AMD CTO Phil Hester (prior to AMD he worked for IBM). although officially he resigned we all know after the Barcelona Debacle; his resignation letter was probably written by Hector Ruiz, or maybe not.
