There has been a lot of hype about how Seinfeld will be promoting Microsoft, and in private conversations with people at Microsoft I have said, that unless the message has changed Seinfeld is the wrong guy to be promoting Windows. Because I personally think the audience Microsoft needs to reach out to are the kids who went to bed at 8PM back on May 14th 1998, and not the Seinfeld-aholics that staied up that night and threw huge parties.
Anyway watch the commercial and after you watch it I will tell you what I think. By the way this is one in many that will appear over time.
LOL, I got master ranking on a sharepoint 2003 certification exam. However, I’ve never used 2003, only 2007… I’m master of something I’ve never used!
I recently faced a dilemma, I had a NVIDIA 8800 GTX Video Card sitting around collecting dust, and a quad core computer that could not handle it because the power supply was not powerful enough, so of course I knew it was time to get a bigger, better, badder PSU—I just couldn’t decide on which one to get.
Antec sent me one of their new Signature Series Power Supplies and I knew exactly what I could use it for, yea, you guessed it. I used it to finally put that bad boy of a Video Card into my System. The Signature Series from Antec is part of their new Super Premium Line, which meets 80 plus standards meaning the PSU is power efficient.
HP was so excited about this new Compaq 2330s that they announced it a whole 14 days ahead of schedule. It was originally set to be announced on the 19th but better early than late I guess.
The 2330s is a budget notebook PC for small business, it weighs only 4 pounds and has a nice little look to it. Kind of reminded me of the look the old ThinkPads had, a lot of people thought that look was ugly but I actually like that old look.
Delta and AirCell announced an agreement to bring Wi-Fi service to all Delta Flights by the summer of 2009, the service is not free and will run you $9.95 to $12.95 depending on how long your flight is. Kind of expensive if you as me, I wonder if the price goes down after a certain time in the air.
According to CNN, the service will be available on 133 MD 88 and MD 90 plans (some of the most uncomfortable in the Delta Fleet) and will be expanded to the 200 or so Boeing plans the company has.
American Airlines will offer the same service later this year, but only on 15 of their aircraft, I guess this is another reason to switch from AA to Delta as I have this year.
Are you a photographer? Professional or not you may all do something in common, you carry your laptop with you to give your self a better view of the image you just took, sure you can circle through them on the LCD of your DSLR but it isn’t as crisp or as big as it can be on a computer screen.
Well Epson want’s to eliminate the need for photographers to carry around their notebooks, so they have introduced the P6000 and P7000 photo viewers, which will allow you to swap your memory card from your camera to your Photo Viewer and view the photos on the photo viewer,
Just in time for Back to School, HP has announced it will be dropping the price on some of its popular Notebooks and Tablets.
You will savings as high as $374 dollars for the new dv5 with a mirror finish which Radiris just received and will be reviewing soon. You will also see a discount on the popular HP Pavillion tx2500 Entertainment PC (tablet) which has received the HardwareGeeks.com Gold Editors Choice Award.
HP s also offering Microsoft Office Home and Student edition with these notebooks for $49 USD, a savings of $100 USD.
I received the HP’s DV5 on Friday but yesterday I finally opened it. I was excited when I received it because I didn’t know they were sending it to me, but I’m glad because I fell in lust w/ it last week. This computer is soooo aesthetically pleasing. Whoever designed it must’ve had the ‘conscious consumer’ in mind because why else would you put a mirror on the laptop. The keyboard is silver and the touch pad is a mirror.
Mike has told me 1000+ times about how he almost got blinded by it, and although I agree that it could cause some disruption if the light hits it at a wrong angle the computer looks great. This computer is great for people who don’t like having chapped lips, food in between their teeth, or messy hair days...I’m kidding, but in all honesty, I was able to put my lipstick on and I did a great job I just hope the surface stays as clear as it is, I wonder how it’ll be a couple of months from now....
We all know how important it is to keep our systems cool, a cooler system equals a happier system. But when you’re a hardcore gamer or just have a super PC as I call them that generates a lot of heat, you may jam pack the system with fans and not really know if they are doing their job or if you even need a fan in a specific area of your PC.
With the Sentry LX Fan Controller not only can you manually and automatically control the speed of up to five fans but you are informed of the temperature in the area near the fans
Antec has posted 10 tips on how to keep your PC cool in the summer, and I thought I would share these tips with you all since I recently had a bad experience with my PC overheating in these summer months.
Just a note to all of you, don’t try liquid cooling if you are in a humid city like I am. Pipes sweat.
