Sonic the Hedgehog is debuting in his first role-playing game courtesy of Bioware in their Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and the Nintendo Power February issue has a 7-page preview on how the game is shaping up and what to expect. In a surprising move, given how touchy most magazines are about keeping their printed material off of the internet, they have made an Adobe pdf file of the magazine freely available on the official website, available here. If you’re a longtime Sonic fan who’s been a bit disappointed in sneakered speedster’s recent games, take the time to check out the fine print - this game looks like it has the potential to be the most fulfilling Sonic experience we’ve seen in years. Keep reading for a few major details if you’re too lazy to check out the article

Today Microsoft announced that the prices for their Xbox 360 consoles in Europe will drop.
The Arcade pack will have a recommended retail price of £159.99 (down £ 40), the Premium pack will be £199.99 (down £ 60), and the Elite £259.99 (down £40). Seems like the Premium will have the biggest price cut. These new prices go into effect on Friday March 14th 2008.
Microsoft said the price cut is business as usual, but one has to wonder if the success the PS3 has had of late is a major factor in their decision, and claimed the Xbox 360 is the biggest selling console in Europe.
This isn’t a rant about Air India’s service, because that’s already a given that they suck; but I’m trying to track a flight right now which took off one hour late because 15 people apparently didn’t show up on time, and it’s been 2 hours and their site still shows the OLD flight data (i.e. flight supposedly left on time). India is supposed to be really tech savvy—get your airlines up to speed will ya!
Last week, Microsoft announced UltimatePC.com, a website where people could go to learn about various computing scenarios and learn what products would suit them best to work in that scenario.

Apple’s approach to enter the sub-notebook market, the Macbook Air, is a great competitor to existing products. I am lucky enough to have one to play with this weekend, and even to use one to write my first HWG blog post.
Let’s start with the obvious. As expected from Apple, the Macbook Air has a great, appealing design. It’s extremely portable and lightweight, and definitely very thin. It’s something I could put into my bag full of books, not notice the extra weight and have plenty of space left for those extra exciting maths books. (Yes, we are right. Math does have an ‘s’.)
A couple of weeks ago I ordered an OQO Model 01+, and it arrived shortly after. I made a post about it on the forums, and promised to follow up with a review of the system, so here is is, along with my original post:
