And now for something completely different:

“I’m recording this message so that if I don’t make it, at least somebody- anybody who finds it will have an idea of what the hell they’ll face getting through this nightmare.  Our original party was four: Bill, Francis, Zoey, and me, Louis.  We were trying to make it to the top of Mercy Hospital, but I’m the only one left, and I don’t know if I can do this alone.  Bill was the first to go.  We had just cleared a horde of zombies and he stopped to patch himself up while the rest of us went ahead a bit to scout...a muffled scream was the only warning we had.  By the time I blew the smoker’s head off its tongue had already crushed his windpipe.  Zoey was next...she was a cute little thing.  A boomer threw up nasty green liquid all over her and a hunter shredded her before Francis and I could clear the mass of Infected from around her.  We made it into the subway tunnels alright, but Francis ran off into the dark when he heard a woman sobbing...thought it might be another survivor.  I heard the Witch scream, but I didn’t turn around.  Wait, I can see a heavy metal door at the top of this room...it’s a safehouse!  I might actually.*thud thud thud thud*..wait...what’s that rumbli- Oh God noit’saTanknonoNONONO *ROOOOOOOOAR* *gunfire* *crunch crunch crunch*” - Audio recovered from a mangled tape recorder by unidentifiable remains.

Hit the jump for more prose and less agony.

I just passed an ASP.NET certification from BrainBench I didn’t expect to pass smile

Back in 2002 (I may be off by a year) there was a buzz going around about how this great new product was going to revolutionize the world. In a very apple like way the company who developed this new product kept it a secret and rumors ran wild, then it turned out to be a scooter ok ok not just any scooter a Segway and well they didn’t take off as expected. With the exception of some police departments, the postal service and I belive Disney there really aren’t many Segway buyers out there.

Now Toyota wants in on the personal transport market, and today showed off their “Toyota Partner Robot” or “Winglet” my Japanese to English translator isn’t that great so I am unsure of the exact name but it’s one of those two.

After meeting w/ HP yesterday about their upcoming cool products, Radiris and I decided to grab a quick bite at Fridays.

You expect to see weird things in NYC, but very often these random things cross the line and get into the “bizarre” category. As we’re grubbing, we all of a sudden hear, “Only in NYC”, “Oh my goodness”, “What the hell is he doing?”, etc…

Toshiba is known for fantastic notebooks that are well built and last a long time.  In fact, those who have had a Toshiba notebook always love it, regardless if it’s a top of the line model or not.  In my opinion that’s because Toshiba notebooks are quality built regardless if it’s a budget machine or not, you can’t say that for every OEM.

The Satellite Pro L300D is one of the sweetest basic no frills notebooks around, it gets the job done and it’s powerful.

I am almost embarrassed to admit this, but before I met Mike and before yesterday I had never ever heard of AMD.

I went to their showcase event yesterday and thought, “what the freak? What rock have I been living under?” These dudes are everywhere – except they’re in the INSIDE. That’s why I never knew who they were.

I was in a room surrounded by gaming machines, cute laptops, sexier ones connected to TVs and a freaking Wii. AMD – I apologize for being so naive. Ya’ll are cool in my book. Now when I see a little “AMD” sticker on anything, I know I’ll be getting a bang for my buck.

Dubbed the Green PC, Dell today launched it’s Studio Hybrid Desktop. It isn’t called Hybrid because it uses both electricity and gas to power it but because you can stand it up Vertically or lay it down diagonally, which makes them great for an apartment with little room or even a Dorm Room.

The Studio Hybrid desktops are also pretty sleek looking and it probably has the smallest form factor of any desktop available from any of the Major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufactures).

Microsoft’s Mojave Experiment went live today, in the experiment they take users who dislike Windows Vista and show them a new version of Windows codenamed “Mojave”. Mojave is actually Windows Vista.

The Vista Skeptics in the video are amazed and love Mojave, even though they dislike Vista. They claim Mojave is faster and easier to use and when they are told it’s Windows Vista they are all shocked.

A average rating of Windows Vista was 4.4 and after they saw Mojave it was 8.4. Most of the videos praised Mojave and essentially Vista afterwards.

Microsoft used a HP Pavilion DV2500. It had 2GB of RAM and was running an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz. The OS was a 32 bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate.

Mary Jo Foley is curious to the results if Apple conducted the experiment. I think if Steve Jobs and Company did conduct the experiment we would never see the videos.

Man, oh man, oh man - what a work out! After playing Top Spin 3 for the Wii for nearly 4 hours I am beat and I want to go for 4 more because even though I am beat and my arm is killing me the game is so much fun.

I have been waiting for this game for nearly a year, ever since I first played the demo. I fell in love with the game and have been anticipating its launch for a while now, and now that I have it my life feels complete… not.
