A few months ago we reviewed the NZXT Sentry LX Fan Controller, and I was pretty impressed by it.
However the LCD screen wasn’t the greatest and when viewing it at certain angles you couldn’t really make out what was displayed. So when I heard about the Sentry 2 and heard I would be getting one for review I hoped that the screen would be better than the Sentry LX.
When I finally received the Sentry 2, I was surprised by its size. It was more than half the size of the Sentry LX and I would have to say a lot easier to install because of its smaller size.
Also because of the smaller size, I didn’t have to fight with the cables as much as I did with the bigger Sentry LX.
It was really easy to install, just stick her into one of your CD Drive bays (of course the bay has to be empty) and connect the cables to your fans and put the thermometers near the fans.
It worked instantly and perfectly. It displayed the temperatures on the screen and the touch screen interface made it easy to configure.
The Sentry 2 is a huge improvement over the Sentry LX and like the Sentry LX we award it our Kick Ass Award, but this time it gets all 5 stars instead of just 4.
