Gateay today announced new additions to its line of gaming, multimedia and small form factor computers, a total of four new systems in all.
The Gateway FX Series Desktops which are designed with the mainstream gamer in mind, will have a new redesigned chassis, with lighting accents. Gateway has done their best to pack as much power as they possibly can into the system. For example the new FX6831-03 and FX6831-01 will feature an Intel i7 860 2.8Ghz processor, ATI Radeon HD5850 with a Gig of discreet video memoy and 8GB or 16GB of DDR3 memory, up to a 1.5 TB Sata HDD, and 16x DVD RW with a Blu-Ray or DVD drive, running on WIndows 7 Premium 64, starting at $1299. A lot of power for a somewhat affordable price. Monitor as always not included.
“When it comes to online entertainment, PC gaming and value, Gateway’s FX Series can’t be beat,” said Steve Smith, Gateway desktop product marketing. “While maintaining our price/performance leadership position, the new FX models boast a race car-like design with red accents and lighting, and include several new features that enhance the convenience and use of the PC.”
While I am not a big fan of Gateway, I have to agree with the above statement by Steve Smith. They are giving us a gaming experience at a value.
The third desktop being announced today is the SX2840-01 which features an Intel Core i3 530 processor, with 6GB of Ram and 1TB of Storage. The SX2940 is a small form factor pc with the power that rivals some full desktops. Perfect in my opinion for a small room like a dorm or kitchen.
The SX2940 has a MSRP of $599.99
Then there is the DX-03 a multimedia pc which can now be configured with an Intel i5 650 processor and a Blu-Ray Drive combined with NVIDIA GeForce Graphics and 6GB of memory. This system would make the perfect media center PC.
DX models also include features that add value to the overall computing experience, such as:
• USB ports, audio jacks and a card reader positioned at the top of the system for maximum visibility and easy access.
• A digital device holder, providing a convenient place to rest phones, cameras and MP3 players.
• A Photo Frame button for displaying a slide show of favorite photos.
• An eco-friendly 1TB Green Product Hard Drive, which consumes less energy and runs cooler and quieter.
The DX-03 will have an MSRP of $849.99 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Hello I placed my notebook computer in front of my desktop PC monitor with the desktop PC monitor switched off. I used my laptop for about 6 hours. When I switched my desktop PC monitor back on, I noticed two large spots of color (one blue, one purple both with gray edges)on my desktop PC monitor. What happened and is there any way to erase the spots?

As a Texan I delight reading almost means we’re going to save money in the future by utilising alternative muscularity. I hope Texas continues to be at the forefront of the new-energy revolution, for the interest of the environment and saving.
