Yesterday I received the HP dv-1001xx from HP for review, and while the original dv series didn’t appeal to me much the new improved dv series gives you goose bumps, because the systems are absolutely gorgeous.
The HP Pavilion dv is powered by Intels Centrino 2 processors, comes loaded with up to 4 gigs of ram, 300 Gigs of storage expandable to 532 with the additional hotswappable hard drive that goes in the expansion bay, cd/dvd or optional blu-ray drive, finger print reader and a beautiful 14.1 inch high definition screen.
The dv4 has a similar look and feel to the HDX16 and HDX18, but not loaded with as much power. Enjoy the unboxing pictures.
It kind of looks like the box was dinged up a bit during transit, but if you notice from the picture below HP has moved away from Foam as a packaging material and instead used a carboard type material that seems to be lighter yet stronger than foam, so the dv4 although probably dropped a few times during transit was well protected. Also a clear sign that HP is going greener and greener.
If any one knows what that material is called let me know.
There she is in all her glory.
We will try to get the review up with in the next week or two, but preliminary test show that the dv4 series from HP is Clutter Free.

Nice machine, just saw that clutter free thing. I like that. I hope you keep doing thatin your reviews as it will help people determine if their machine needs to be formated after they buy it. Might save a lot of people from paying geeksquad and firedog to clean out the machine first.
I have been to best buy and Have been told, we will clean your machine for 35 bucks or something before I even buy it.
