I’m a techie buff and probably one of the few that have a Media Center PC in their living room.  While I love having it there because it saves me cable box rental and remote fees– I still need to rent a cable card.  The one thing I detest is the fact that I need a keyboard and a mouse for it to function correctly at all times.

Well no longer do I detest that, because Logitech gave me the diNovo Mini, a keyboard/touchpad designed for Media Center PCs.  What’s so great about it is it’s freakin’ like a Sidekick, and being that I used to be a Sidekick-aholic, using the diNovo Mini came easily to me.

.DiNovo MiniThe diNovo Mini is so small and cute that you wouldn’t mind having it on your coffee table.  It uses Bluetooth so it really doesn’t interfere with much of anything and there seems to be no lag between the pressing of a key and the time it takes to appear onscreen.

The multi purpose touch pad doubles as directional buttons and a way to move your mouse easily with the flip of a switch.

The diNovo Mini is really easy to use; set up was a breeze.  I installed the included Logitech software, plugged in the USB dongle and everything worked the way it was supposed to – installation complete.

Overall I liked it a lot, but I wish it had a docking station instead of just a cable to charge it.

We award the Logitech diNovo our 4 Start Kick Ass Award, you can get one for yourself over at newegg.com for about $150.

Also of note is that this item, because it is bluetooth, will work as a mouse/keyboard for a PS3.  I saw this yesterday on Attack of the Show, and it looked pretty sweet.

really I didn’t know that it would work with the PS3, will definetly try it out.

that would be cool if I could use it on my ps3

Yeah, Attack of the Show was showing it off last night in the “browser” section of the PS3.  MUCH easier than trying to get by with a controller.

I’m a test it out, and see if it works with in game texting etc.
