The Samsung Pebble (YP-S2 ZB) is a digital audio player that looks like a little pebble hence the name. It comes with a Gig of Storage and when you factor in system files it’s actually a little bit less than a gig. The Pebble is available in six colors (red, purple, black, white, silver and green) and will run you about 50 bucks.
I got my hands on one today while attending a Samsung Holiday event here in NYC and I figured I would put together a quick review and throw up some unboxing photos.
First let’s start with the unboxing, it comes in a pretty standard plastic box as you can see from the pictures below. Under the Pebble and behind the plastic mount it is attached to, is it’s USB adapter, headphones and some software.
So after I unboxed it, I installed the included software which is basically a media manager and a music store, sad thing is that the music store doesn’t work in the US.
But other than that the Pebble rocked, it looked nice was small and the sound quality was excellent, this little thing is perfect to give away to someone who doesn’t want an ipod and wants something small and stylish. Perfect for stuffing the stocking during the holidays too.
Overall it’s a pretty cool pierce of technology and I recommend it.
Here is a picture of the additional colors.

Looks like a rock, not sure if I would rock it though. I think Motorola had a phone called the pebble too.
