While I was at the 2010 CES, FedEx dropped off a package or maybe it was UPS I am not sure as I wasn’t in but regardless of who dropped it off, what they dropped off was the Jaybird Sportsband Bluetooth headset.

The Sportsband is a really elegant looking headset, and while it’s designed for the athlete in all of us, I primarily used it around my home and when commuting. It comfortably fit and kept my ears somewhat warm in this cold winter we have been having here in New York City.

jaybird sportsbandI paired the headphones to my iPhone and I was not only able to use them to talk on the phone but also use to listen to music and or the audio from the movies on my iPhone.
The sound quality that the headset delivered was amazing, a lot better than I expected and way better than my Sony Noise Cancelation headset that I just spent 100 dollars on.

They really did deliver a crystal clear sound, from both the people I was talking too. It was also interesting to have phone calls coming in from both sides of the Sportsband. It was like phone call surround sound. 

When talking, people never once complained about not being able to hear me. My sister who I loaned the Sportsband to (since she works out) stole a line from the Vonage commercial and said when I was talking to her it sounded as if I were in the same room standing from the ceiling ear to ear with her.

So as I said above, I loaned the Sportsband to my sister who works out a lot, she does Wii Fit she also jogs and works out at her local sports club. She liked how the Sportsband clamped onto her ears, so when she jogs around it doesn’t bounce around and feel like they are going to fall off.  She also liked that she was able to raise or lower the volume of her music from the headband itself. The right side has control buttons on the outside of the earpiece.

Overall the sound quality is great, the mic picks your voice up perfectly and delivers it clearly, it stays put when you’re working out and its extremely comfortable. If you work out and even if you don’t this is a great Bluetooth headset.

The Jaybird Sportsband has a MSRP of $89 USD. For more information visit http://www.jaybirdgear.com

I like wireless products but this one is awesome for me. I fond of listening music in traveling and driving. It would be very beneficial for me.
