Judas Priest’s Screaming For Vengeance will be the first album released for Rock Band. It will be released Aprill 22nd for the Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will get it April 24th. The album will include 10 tracks and will be priced at $14.99 or can be purchased individually for $1.99. I doubt I’d ever buy a whole album considering how expensive it is, but I’m glad that Harmonix is finally fulfilling a promise they made when Rock Band was first announced.
So is $14.99 the new standard album price?
It’s not a standard. There’s not going to be a standard album pricing. It’s going to be a function of how many songs are included in the album...essentially there will be a volume discount applied.
