Let me start by saying that I am not a big trivia fan; I don’t watch shows like Jeopardy and probably would never buy a trivia game. However, I did get my hands on Buzz!: The Hollywood Quiz game which is just that—a trivia game for the PS2/3 that comes with 4 buzzers.

The questions in the game are based on movies, TV shows, Hollywood stars and anything Hollywood related—an area I am horrible at. But then again, I am pretty much horrible at all trivia.

Well, since I had it, I decided to play it. To be honest, my initial impression was that it was hard and really boring, but I guess any game is boring when you’re playing with yourself (shut up, perverts). So, I invited my Mom, my sister, and her husband over for Mother’s day so that the four of us could play. Much swearing was involved.

Aside from all the swearing and the little arguments that the game started, it was probably the most entertaining family evening in years; we played at least a half-dozen games, totaling nearly 4 hours. What was surprising to me was that I can’t recall any questions that were repeated.

Basically you are in a Jeopardy like scenario, and you have to buzz in to answer questions or place someting in alphabetical order. There is even a level where you have to race against your opponents. Really really fun!

It was so much fun that, for the past week, my Mom and sister have called me non-stop to find out when we’re going to play again. I think I may throw a party just so I can play the game again! First, though, I think I need to brush up on my Hollywood trivia.

Overall, the game is amazing (well, as long as I had someone to play against). It’s really fun to play and it will definitely bring the family together, even if it causes the occasional argument to erupt.
