I love music and games like Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero, where you have to tap a button that matches the button displayed on the screen, those games help you stay alert and in my opinion improve your reflexes.
Now there’s Battle of the Bands for the Wii, a game similar to DDR and Guitar Hero, with one small difference, instead of pressing a corresponding button; you have to flick your controller when the button on the screen reaches a certain point.
The game was pretty fun to play, you compete against another person (a friend or the computer), and the person who flicks their controller at the right time the most wins. You also are able to use weapons against each other, like lightning bolts and fire balls. It’s really fun once you get used to collecting weapons and figuring out how to make use of them.
In my opinion, human interaction is always best, so skip playing against the computer and find a friend – its more fun.
I definitely recommend buying it if you have a nosey neighbor. Mine peeps through my window and may have let her mind get carried away because she yelled at me and told me I would eventually go blind ;| What the….
The game is really fun, and although it’s rated T for Teens, I would definitely let my ten year old nephew play the game. Out of my hours of game play, I noticed nothing that would cause me to wait a couple of years to let him play, he should try it now, it’s harmless, although they do make mention of ‘the devil’ and ‘hell’.
The choice is yours, the game is extremely fun so go rent it, give it a shot, and if you like it buy it!
