Fresh out of Nintendo’s E3 press conference, a new game titled Wii Music has been announced for the Nintendo Wii. The music game will feature the ability to play over 50 instruments such as guitar, drums, saxophone, and even the cowbell. Unlike other music games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band which focus on pressing buttons at the correct timing, Wii Music focuses more on the players’ movements to mimic that of playing the real instrument.
This game is not strict about pressing buttons at the right time; instead the player can press buttons at a timing of their own choice and the game plays the notes accordingly, allowing players to come up with their own songs and beats. The drums in this game support the use of the Wii Balance Board to mimic the use of drum pedals. Supporting multiple players, the game has the ability to record your on-screen performance and playback your band playing a song. No release date has been set.
