E3 2008 kicks off today, and Nintendo has already stepped up to announce a new accessory for the Wii. The Wii MotionPlus is an accessory that attaches to the Wii’s controller and is supposed to further enhance the motion tracking. Working in conjunction with the accelerometer and sensor bar, the Wii MotionPlus is able to track a player’s movement to extreme 1:1 precision and reflect that in the game in real-time. Not many details have been released about this accessory, but Nintendo is sure to reveal more about it in their press conference tomorrow at 9:00 AM PST. See what the accessory looks like after the break.
