First off, does anyone know how to turn off the thumbnail previewing? I am attempting to watch some videos i have on anohter computer in my home network, they're roughly 30-200mb a piece. just episodes of a show i like. however, i've spent all morning trying to figure out why it goes so damn slow, i've come to the conclusion that it is eating up the bandwidth reading all the files and creating thumbnails. There are 2 options here, find how to disable the thumbnails, or turn on thumbnail cacheing, and sit back and let it load all of them for all your files. I'd really like to disable it, there's no option for it in Folder Options, i think this is going to have to be a registry crack if any. Thanks in advance.

I unchecked disable thumbnail cacheing, let it load the thumbs, but it didn't cache them, might be a bug or some other setting on this machine. If someone knows how to disable it from loading these, please post.

last i checked you just need to change the view setting. haven't installed longhorn yet so i could be wrong.

and by disableing thumbnail cacheing you are making the system recreate the thumbnail each time.
