Problem with ati drivers....please help

I have a 9700 pro and I cant seem to get my ati 9700pro drivers installed any help?

also when I try and install my sound drivers etc it is telling me that the OS is not supported. Is there anyway I can fix this or am I just outta luck.

you have to uninstall any existing drivers and put your resolution back to 640x480x256 colours. (or is that 16 colours?)
or "standard VGA" as they call it.

i use the new catalyst drivers and they need the system *just so* for the install to go smoothly.

@Nimrod: install both under XP compatability mode. if the sound card still doesn't like it, put it in 2k compatability mode. To turn on compatability mode go into the setup's properties.

interesting... i didn't try that. i'm gonna do it next time just for the fun of it.
it's weird how things work when done in the right order or with the right combination.
i recently experimented by installing a Simpsons screen saver that i bought back in '95. it was made for win 3.1 and it works great in XP!

:D installing in compatability mode also makes the special display tabs work properly w/o several reboots

try to use update driver with
driver files from its original CD
that comes with your card.

i use tyan 9000pro and
success.
