ok can someone explain to me how to install Longhorn. I feel stupid askin a question like that but....everytime I try and install it it says I need to insert the XP cd into the cdrom drive. It will not install from the lonhorn iso I have. Again sorry for the stupid question but it is giving me real pains trying to install and get the files copied. Any help is greatly appreciated

unless you have a correctly formated disc you cant install from it, what you need to do is install xp, then do a install from windws and select the option to copy all files to your hdd, that way you wont need the disc.

@IT_GUY: thats a very bad way to install it, causes install quality degradation and file overlap, which is why you never do upgrade installs.

@nimrod0031: just install from HD to do a nice and clean install of it

No, I didnt mean to do a upgrade, do a clean install from Windows, in setup it will delete your other installs and then install our os. but a true clean install from the HDD is alwas better.
