I need to make Lh look like xp to the installer, I have a app i need to install, but it will only install on xp, now most of the time i can just change the version from 6 to 5.1 and it will work but not this one, have any ideas??

if your installing from a disc and the setup file is .exe right click and change compatability to windows 2k/xp see if that works.

if not aa will probably know what to do when he gets on

Yeah, I tried that, it still wont work, I changed the version #, the build#. No matter what I do this thing can tell I am not on XP,

It is the installer for the InterVideo DVD+MP3 Xpack

run in 2k compatability mode, disable visual styles

Nope, still says will only install on windows xp

search the registry for any references to the build number. and change it to xp's build

@Michael: that doesn't work since the header for the reg can't be edited from within windows

You are telling me, I tried it just to see, it gives me a diffrent error, oh well. I guess I just wont install it. Thx anyway guys
