I have the Soundblaster Audigy2 Platinum, which comes with it's own remote control. I just recieved my Media Center Remote Control from HP (via spare parts), and I was wondering if the MCE remote control could use the Soundblaster's IR port to control the MCE OS. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

almost any remote will work fine in MCE. You shouldn't have a problem using the IR Blaster from the Audigy2 w/o a problem. If you need help configuring the remote let me know

Did they send you just the remote or the remote and the receiver/transmitter?
If you have a link, please post.
Thanks

The remote control and the receiver/transmitter are seperate part #s. The receiver/transmitter is external, and connects via usb. It also comes with the IR blaster for your cable/sattelite box.

Did you order the emitter? If so, does it need drivers or do they come with MCE?
Thanks

I plugged the emmiter to my current laptop via USB port, and XP detected and automatically installed the drivers for it. So no extra drivers were needed.

They are still out of stock. Has anyone had luck ordering the Philips Remote and IR Receiver from accessmicro.com?
