From what it seems I am but one in a million who have spied the forums for a bit before actually signing up.

Eh.....I don't think there are any "rules" you need to read. Just use common sense. I think you will find that this is one of the most easy-going forums you will ever come across. The only thing I would recommend is that you be respectful of the guys who have been around here for a long time. You can tell by their post count.

But yeah, we've been getting spammed like crazy over the last couple of months. I've banned at least a dozen bots between yesterday and today. Ya know, some of these bots are creative... it's sometimes hard to tell.

Same here, I found HWG back in late 2002 or something like that by performing Google searches for Windows Longhorn related materials. Didn't register until sometime in 2003 though.
