Have you Updated your Xbox One?

XBox One

The Xbox One update is live, and so is backwards compatibility, so have you updated your Xbox One like I have?

The update took about 8 minutes to download and install, and to me it honestly seems like it was made for a touchscreen television. The way the layout is, it just makes me want to get out of my seat walk over to the tv and flick up, down and side to side.

It’s like Windows 8 and Windows 10 had a baby. But all in all, I like it. I like how the Main window in the experience is bigger than what it was before, putting more focus on what you’re doing and or watching instead of it’s surroundings. I also like the slide out menu as it gives you easier access to friends, messages and even settings.

Overall it’s a good update but I need to get used to it. My girlfriend hates it, but at least she can still say “Xbox on”.

But regardless if you like the update or not, it’s a must have. Why? Backwards compatibility.

If you haven’t gotten the update yet, just go to settings and system update to download and install it. Check out some screens below.
